The Texas nostalgia hub — help us build the state's next retro toy store.

Every toy you begged for in 1987, every one your mom "donated" in 1996 — plus the store displays, novelty phones, and neon signs that made the era glow. We hunt it all across Texas, building inventory for a future retro toy store. One fair cash offer for the whole lot. No cherry-picking. We come to you.

The nostalgia wall

Remember these? We're bringing them back.

This is more than buying and selling — it's a rescue mission for the golden age of the toy aisle, and the mall around it. If any of these ring a bell, there's a good chance something in your attic belongs on the store's shelves.

1986

My Pet Monster

The big blue beast with the snap-off orange cuffs. If yours still has both cuffs, sit down before we tell you what it's worth.

The Real Ghostbusters

Proton packs, firehouse playsets, and a certain green glutton who ruined your appetite every Saturday morning. We want all of it — ecto-slime included.

Don't get him wet. Don't feed him after midnight. And don't donate him to the church rummage sale — bring him to us instead.

What's yours worth? →
1992

Goosebumps

The books, the board games, the haunted merch that scared your little brother. That shoebox of paperbacks? Reader beware — it's worth a look.

1988

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Heroes in a half shell. Figures, the Party Wagon, the sewer lair, the Technodrome — cowabunga, we want it all.

A Real American Hero — figures, file cards, vehicles, and the aircraft carrier your dad never let you assemble in the living room.

Kenner figures, X-wings, the Falcon, Death Star playsets — a long time ago, in an attic not far away.

Transformers & GoBots

Robots in disguise — and their scrappy die-cast rivals. Figures boxed or loose, playsets, and every vehicle that turned into somebody.

📼 Retro Collectibles

Not technically toys — absolutely the point. The mall glow, the movie nights, the lunch-table status symbols.

Slime, Gak & Ooze

Mattel Slime, Nickelodeon Gak, Ghostbusters Ecto-Plazm — if it squished, splatted, or stained the carpet, it's nostalgia gold. Sealed containers especially.

How it works

Three steps. Zero sorting. Cash in hand.

1

Snap & send photos

One wide shot of everything, a few close-ups. Don't sort it, don't clean it, don't make a list. Attic dust and all.

2

Get one cash offer

One fair offer for the whole collection — usually within 24 hours. We never cherry-pick the good stuff and leave you the mess.

3

We come to you

Anywhere in Texas. We pay cash on the spot and haul every last box away. You're done in an afternoon.

🤔 Not sure it's worth anything? Send photos anyway. We'll tell you honestly what you've got — even if our advice is "have a garage sale."

Send your photos — pick whichever's easiest

📷 What to send (30 seconds, tops): one wide shot of everything as-is, then 2–3 close-ups of anything boxed or that looks interesting. Don't sort, don't clean, don't dig for the "good stuff" — dust and jumbled bins are completely normal.

Prefer email? Start here

Fill this out and we'll open a ready-to-send email in your mail app — just attach your photos before you hit send.

This opens your own email app with everything pre-written. Attach your photos before sending! Or skip the form and email us directly: howdy@texastoycollector.com

The Texas Toy Bounty

No toys? No problem. Know somebody who does? Get paid.

Your neighbor's garage. Your dad's closet. That coworker who won't stop talking about his old Star Wars stuff. Most collections we buy start with somebody saying "oh — you should talk to my brother." Now that tip pays.

The mission

Building the store, one collection at a time

This isn't flipping. Every collection we buy gets tagged, cared for, and set aside for the day we open the doors of a real retro toy store — the kind of place we all remember walking into in 1987. Here's where we are:

INVENTORY LOADING… 2,000+ ITEMS SOLD · THOUSANDS MORE TAGGED FOR THE STORE
2022

First live Whatnot auction. A folding table and two bins.

2024

1,000th toy sold live. Buying trips across DFW.

2026

Now buying statewide — Amarillo to the Valley.

Why folks sell to us

You can watch us work before you ever call

No cherry-picking

One offer for everything. We never take the two rare figures and leave you a garage full of "the rest."

Cash on the spot

No checks in the mail, no "consignment," no waiting. We count it out at your kitchen table.

A public track record

2,000+ sales in live auctions with reviews to match. Tune into a Whatnot show, or browse our eBay store, and see how we treat toys — and people.

Estate & inherited collections welcome

Settling a loved one's collection is hard. We're patient, we explain what things are, and their toys end up on a store shelf — not in a landfill.

"They answered my photos the same afternoon, drove out two days later, and paid exactly what they offered. My dad's toys went to somebody who actually cares." [ Real seller review goes here — collect these from day one ]

Questions

The stuff everybody asks

Do I need to know what my toys are worth first?

Nope. That's our job. Send photos and we'll tell you what you've got, honestly — including when something isn't worth much. You'll never be penalized for not knowing.

Do you only buy toys?

Nope — if it's 80s/90s nostalgia, we want to see it. Novelty phones (yes, the cheeseburger one), store displays and standees, neon and advertising signs, lunchboxes, arcade and pinball stuff, video-store leftovers — if it made the era feel like the era, it belongs on the store's shelves.

What if the toys are dirty, loose, or missing pieces?

Send them anyway. Played-with toys are most of what we buy. Don't clean anything — sometimes cleaning actually hurts the value.

Do you really buy the WHOLE collection?

Yes. One offer, everything goes, including the box of parts nobody can identify. That's the point — you get an empty garage and cash, in one afternoon.

We're settling an estate. How does that work?

Gently and at your pace. We'll walk through what's there, explain what things are, make one offer for all of it, and handle every box ourselves. Many families tell us it's the easiest part of the whole process.

I don't have any toys — but I know exactly who does.

That's the Texas Toy Bounty. Send us the tip or forward your person our message, and if we end up buying their collection, you get 10% of whatever we pay them (minimum $25) — cash or gift card, same day. Your own family absolutely counts.

When does the store open?

When the shelves are ready. We're building inventory the right way — one Texas collection at a time — and posting the journey on Instagram and Facebook. Follow along and you'll know the moment we do.
